Dear Parents,

Welcome to Coast Christian School.  I want to share a verse with you which the Lord has placed on my heart from 1Corinthians 1:9, “God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on)…” AV.  As we celebrate 31 years of excellence in Christian education at Coast Christian School we thank God for His FAITHFULNESS! 

It is because of His faithfulness that Coast Christian School has an outstanding reputation in the community for providing each student with an uncompromising Christian education devoted to academic excellence in a family-friendly, safe, and nurturing environment.  Coast Christian School students and staff have received commendations and recognition for service from community organizations and leaders including; Blue Star Moms, Leadership Redondo, the California State Assembly, Redondo Beach Mayor Mike Gin, the LA County Supervisor, the Torrance, Redondo Beach, and Manhattan Beach Chambers of Commerce, San Pedro Hope for Kids, Seasons Retirement Community, the Africa Water Well Project, Association of Christian Schools International, and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Because of God’s faithfulness, our student’s SAT scores remain one to four years higher than the national norms and our eighth grade class is prepared for and accepted to the premiere private high schools in our area. We have raised the bar on teaching standards incorporating differentiated and data driven instruction, honors math, tutoring programs, and collaboration as a professional learning community. 

More important than reputation in the community and academic achievement is God’s faithfulness evidenced in the ever growing faith of our students and their desire to go beyond biblical head knowledge to experiential faith lived out in an ever changing world.  Faculty and staff encourage our young people to become contagious Christians who have a boldness to stand up for God.  They use every opportunity to challenge, walk alongside, and demonstrate the love of Jesus to our students.

As parents and educators we have an awesome responsibility and a relatively brief window of opportunity to share God’s faithfulness in the lives of our children. “We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done…so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.  Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep His commands.”  (Psalm 78:4-7, NIV)
