Welcome from our Interim Head of School

My name is Weston Stoler. I was born and raised in Decatur, Alabama, and was converted to Christianity at around 12 years old. I joined the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in 2011 and have loved its doctrine, polity, and people ever since.

In 2013, I moved to the Pacific Northwest and began working at SAMBICA Camp in Bellevue, Washington, as an intern. I then spent five years as a preschool teacher, followed by five years as a paraeducator in a local school district.

My philosophy of education aligns with C.S. Lewis’s reflections in The Abolition of Man, where he quotes Aristotle, saying the aim of education is to make students “like and dislike what they ought.” Education is not just about teaching students how or what to think, but about shaping their whole person to be in accord with God’s revelation in His Word and in natural revelation. The formation of good habits prepares students to face the challenges of a fallen world that often rejects His truth found in His revelations to us.

I am a member at Hope Presbyterian Church in Bellevue and have been blessed to teach theology proper and the doctrine of the Trinity to students, a passion of mine. Since knowing God is eternal life, it is crucial that we seek to know Him deeply.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Interim Head of School and look forward to both the challenges and blessings that will come with this role. It is my joy to share my love of God and His truth with our students, teachers, and parents.

As for my time when I am not working on school activities, I enjoy reading theology, philosophy, and literature, and I try to practice the banjo when I can.
