Our History

2005

Rich and Sara Loudon started Covenant Christian Middle School (CCMS) in 2005, with their own children as some of CCMS's first students. Mr. Loudon served as principal and support, while Mrs. Loudon was lead teacher for 18 years. The school was founded as and continues to teach a Christ-centered, history-based language arts program aimed at the heart of students.

2018

The Lord began tangibly answering the long-term prayers of families, pastors, and educators at Covenant Presbyterian Church for forming a high school. A launch committee of four couples came together, and over a few months, a small band of teachers for a new high school took shape. In September 2019, the doors to Covenant Christian High School opened with Ben and Mary Beezhold at the helm—an opportunity to humbly pursue a different way of education.

2021

Despite COVID challenges and the Beezholds stepping down because of the blessing of their growing family, the Lord providentially brought Sean Hill to CPC, who was happy to serve as CCHS's next head of school and humanities instructor. Mr. Hill brought a deep love for the subjects he taught and helped the school continue into its next phases of growth.

2023

After 18 incredible years, Mrs. Loudon retired from CCMS, passing the torch to Christine Cooper. Mrs. Cooper's three children are graduates of CCMS and she comes ready with a heart for teaching children the beauty of God's truths through the classical tradition.

As Mr. Hill moved on to a new position, the Lord continued to provide new teachers and students for CCHS.

We are thankful to the Lord for His care and are very excited to see how He will use Covenant Christian Schools to glorify Himself and grow His kingdom.
